Ag. Director, Telecommunications and Postal Service Department
A seasoned Engineer extraordinaire Engr. Adamu Mohammed hails from Suleja Emirate of Niger State. He started his educational career at Anguwar Gayan Primary School, Abuja (now Suleja), Secondary School at Govt. Science College Kagara, Niger State. He attended Kaduna Polytechnic (ND, Electronics & Communications), Federal Polytechnic, Bida (HND, Electronics & Communications) and the prestigious Bayero University, Kano where he obtained both his Bachelors of Engineering and Master of Engineering Degree in the field of Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
With over 30years working experience within the public sector, he possesses valuable and unparalleled experience having worked for the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) Engineering Services (1993-2010), the Federal Ministry of Communication Technology and presently the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy.
Engr. Adamu Mohammed was a delegate to the ITU-T Study Group 12 meeting at the International Telecommunications Union headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland in 2012, a delegate to ITU- Plenipotentiary, in Dubai, UAE in 2018, Delegate to World Radio Communication Conference (WRC) in Sham El-Sheik, Egypt in 2019 and a delegate to the Universal Postal Union (UPU) conference in Abidjan, Cote D’voire in 2021. He is also a Distinguished Visionary Icon Merit Award Recipient in 2013 by the Orator Communications Limited.
He has been a Registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and an active member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).
In the course of his illustrious career, Engr. Adamu had participated and supervised the delivery of milestone project such as Supply and Installation of Security and Crimes Prevention VHF/FM Radio Communication Equipment for the Nigerian Police in FCT (1996); Installation of Antenna and Studio Equipment of FM (ASO) Radio Station Abuja (1998),Provision of Telecommunication Ducts, Manholes for Utako District Infrastructure Abuja(Turnkey Project) (2002); Reactivation/Rehabilitation of NTA/TV Booster Stations at Abaji, Bwari, Karshi all in Abuja (2004) amongst others.
In his capacity as a beloved Nigerian and Suleja indigene, Engr. Adamu has in various capabilities contributed to the socio-development of his adored community by delivering various community development projects, namely: Installation of Hybrid PABX System at the Emirate Council Secretariat, Suleja Niger State (2013); Provision of Motorized Borehole Community Water Supply at Unguwar Dankyuka/Biko; Niger State (2012) amongst others.
Presently, Engr. Adamu Mohammed serves in dual capacity as the Acting Director of the Telecommunications and Postal Service Department and also in Charge of Council Secretariat matters of the National Frequency Management Council (NFMC) Secretariat. He is married with Children.
Director, e-Government
Born on 9th July, 1963, Mr. Aremu Ade Augustine, hails from Oka, Akoko, South-West, Ondo-State, Nigeria. Has a Master’s Degree (M.Sc.-4.16 GPA) in Statistics from University of Lagos, Postgraduate Diploma in Development Planning Techniques, Jan-July, 1993 from Netherland Institute of Social Studies and Bachelor Degree (B.Sc.) in Statistics (2nd Class Upper) from University of Ilorin, Oct.1984-Jul.1987.
He was the Acting Director/Director of Infrastructure Department; Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning, 15th September 2020 – February 2022, Director in National Monitoring and Evaluation Department, Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning, March – November 2022.
Served as an anchor to the transportation sector in the crafting of the National Development Plan (NDP) 2021 – 2025, coordinated the review of the National Integrated Infrastructure Master Plan (NIIMP) 2020 – 2025, drafted Memo to National Executive Council (NEC) for endorsement of the Nigeria Road Safety Strategy II (NRSS II) 2021 – 2030, drafted memo to the National Executive Council (NEC) for endorsement of the Reviewed National Integrated Infrastructure Master Plan (NIIMP) 2020 – 2025, drafted memo to the Federal Executive Council (FEC) for approval of the Reviewed National Integrated Infrastructure Master Plan (NIIMP) 2020 – 2025 for implementation. Member of Presidential Committee on National Broadband Plan, represented the Permanent Secretary (PS) as the Chairman in the quarterly meetings of the Technical Working Group (TWG) of National Road Safety Advisory Council (NaRSAC), Chairman of Groups in the bilateral discussion with MDAs on National Development Plan (NDP) 2021 – 2025 and many more.
He attended e-Government Capacity Building Executive II and Professional Course in 2015 & 2016 respectively. He is a member of numerous professional bodies such as National Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN), Nigerian Statistical Association (NSA), Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) alumni, just to mention few.
Currently, he is the Director of e-Government Department, Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, Abuja.
Director, National Frequency Management Council
Born on 24th November, 1963, Engr. Abubakar Ladan Abdullahi, is an indigene of Dange/Shuni Local Government Area of Sokoto State, North-West Nigeria. He began his educational pursuit from Primary School in 1971, through to the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he obtained his Bachelor of Engineering Degree, Electrical, B.ENG. (ELECT.) in 1988. Went back to ABU Zaria in 2002 – 2003 when he obtained a Masters Degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy (MIAD). He has a Diploma in Telecommunications Management; among the second batch of the first set of officers selected service-wide and trained as Procurement Officers by the Common Wealth Organization in 2005; participant in the Policy, Strategy and Leadership Course, 7 (PSLC 7) at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, (NIPSS), Kuru, Near Jos in 2012; and attended many Professional Courses on CDMA in China, 2006, Specialised e-Government Training in both South Korea and India in 2014 and 2017 respectively; and many more.
He started his professional career with the Sokoto State Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport in 1989, where owing to his dedication, hard work and selfless service, got rapid promotion and elevated to the rank of Director (Mechanical/Electrical) in 1996, and also has to his credit, a commendation letter from the State Government for his commitment and contributions towards completion of Sokoto State Governor’s Lodge, Asokoro, Abuja. He briefly worked with defunct National Electric Power Authority (NEPA) at the Mando 330/132KV Injection Station, Kaduna, before transferring his services to Federal Government, Ministry of Communications in 2000.
Currently, he is the Director in-charge of the NFMC Department. As the pioneer Director, he is preoccupied with problems of the Department and the challenges of how to overcome them and put the Department on a very good pedestal for realization of the aims and objectives of the reform exercise. Accordingly, the Director is now assiduously working on two critical documents – ‘A Development Strategy Document’ and ‘Proposal on Permanent Funding Solution’ that are aimed at providing the necessary solution to the Department’s numerous problems.
PERMANENT SECRETARY
Dr William Nwankwo Alo is a native of Ekwetekwe-Umuezeoka in Ezza North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. He was born on the 15th day of April, 1965. He attended Community Primary School, Ekwetekwe in Ezza North Local Government Area, Ebonyi State. He passed out from the school in 1976 with First School Living Certificate (FSLC).
In 1977, he proceeded to St. Aidan’s Secondary School, Umuezeoka also in Ezza North Local Government Area. He obtained his West African School Certificate (WASC) in June, 1982.
The quest for higher education took him to the then Anambra State College of Education Awka for a degree programme. He later transferred to University of Nigeria, Nsukka where he obtained BA Hons. Government/Education in 1989. In 1990 he did the mandatory National Youth Service Corps Scheme. He was posted to Lagelu/Egbeda Local Government Area in Oyo State. He completed his National Youth Service Corps Programme in 1991.
In December, 1992, William Alo was employed as an Administrative Officer in Enugu State civil service. Following the creation of Ebonyi State on October 1st, 1996, Alo alongside with other Civil Servants were moved to the newly created Ebonyi State.
In his service to Ebonyi State, (as a civil servant), he served in various ministries, until he rose to the rank of Chief Administrative Officer. He was later appointed a Permanent Secretary in December, 2007. As a Permanent Secretary in Ebonyi State, he served in the office of the Head of Service Ebonyi State, Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Mineral Development, Ministry of Lands, Survey and Housing, and Ministry of Education.
In 2013, William transferred his service from the Ebonyi State Government to the Federal Government of Nigeria. He transferred as a Director GL 17 and was posted to the Federal Ministry of Interior.
In December 2015, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari appointed him a Federal Permanent Secretary. He has served as a Permanent Secretary – Economic Affairs office, (Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation), Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, Special Duties Office (Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation), Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, Ministry of Special Duties and Inter – Governmental Affairs, Federal Ministry of Power, Police Service Commission and presently Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy. He is married with children.
Director, General Services
Born on 26th September, 1967, Mrs Olukemi Abimbola Arodudu is an indigene of Ikare Akoko in Akoko North East LGA of Ondo State, West of Nigeria. She began her educational pursuit from Primary School in 1976, through to the prestigious University of Ife (Obafemi Awolowo University) Ile-Ife, where she obtained her Bachelor of Art (BA) English Studies in 1987. In 2015-2016 she obtained a Master’s Degree in Financial Management from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso. She attended and participated in so many Professional Courses in Nigeria and overseas .She is a Professional member of Institute Of Corporate Administration(Senior Fellow),Chartered Institute of administration(Fellow), Institute Of Corporate Administration (Fellow) , West African Society for Communication and Administration (WASCA)(Fellow),Institute of Human Capital Management and Skill Development of Nigeria(Fellow), Nigerian Institute of Management-Chartered(Member), Institute of Personal Management of Nigeria -Chartered (Member) and also Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (Associate) and many more.
She started her professional career with Revenue Mobilization Allocation Fiscal Commission from1989 -2005 from Lagos Head Office to Port Harcourt Office and then to Abuja Head office. She also worked with the Budget Office of the Federation from 2005 to 2016 and then from 2016 to 2022 she worked with Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Abuja.
Currently, she is the Director in-charged of General Services Department. She coordinates the affairs of the Department, ensuring proper management of the infrastructural facilities of the Ministry and also ensuring proper execution of maintenance, rehabilitation and construction projects/ contracts in all the Ministry’s offices nationwide.
